We really enjoy decorating the house for Christmas. This year we’ve had to buy quite a few new things as most of our decorations had to be jettisoned before the move. I love everything that we have but I think this year these 5 are my favourites.
This santa bowl was a new purchase this year, it’s perfect for cakes, biscuits and sweet treats at this time of year….not that they last long!
They have a lot of wall hanging and sign related Christmas decorations here. We bought two. One is super tacky and glittery but very cheerful and a Dollar Tree bargain!
The other is much more traditional and rustic…I don’t think we’ll have to worry about snow here anytime soon however!
I made this penguin garland about 3 years ago and usually it hangs up the stairs. This year we used it to decorate the kitchen, it’s nice having such high ceilings!
Last but not least our fairy made it in the suitcase unharmed and is my favourite part of the tree, especially as my mum knitted her! This year as we have an artificial tree she hasn’t got the drunk look she had last year when the needles started to drop!
Outisde you can see we went for an eclectic theme of snowman, snowflakes and……flamingo.
Not as elaborate as most of the neighbours but neither of us can afford a broken leg if we try to string lights or Santa and his sleigh to the roof!
