4TH OF JULY

Today our little American celebrated her first 4th of July. Hopefully she won’t declare her independence from us when she’s older, but it’s such a popular holiday here it’s hard not to get involved!

We started the day in a very American way, going out with friends for a pancake breakfast. We spent the afternoon having an indoor picnic. I made red, white and blue themed snacks – chocolate drizzled popcorn, chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, cherries and blueberries.

We ate them on our picnic blanket in the living room as it was waaaaaay too hot to go outside!

We even managed toFlossie had a lot of fun playing on the blanket and even managed to roll over from her front to her back for the first time today… the break for independence has already begun!

  2. That popcorn looks outstanding. I was in the States for July 4th once. Found myself on the outfield at Dodgers Stadium in LA watching back over the bleachers at the greatest fireworks show I’ve ever seen! #KCACOLS
