About

Welcome to our big adventure!

In March 2015, we packed our bags and moved 5267 miles from the UK to the USA. We’re looking forward to trying new foods, travelling to new places and learning to drive on the wrong side of the road!

This blog is to record our new experiences and help us share them with others.

      • I was in Las Vegas last year and met a mother and her two sons from the UK. I told them that my daughter always wanted to go to London. They were like, “Why?” They talked about it always being cloudy and cold. They went on and on about how they loved the sunshine in Las Vegas. I probably talked to them for about an hour in the hallway of the hotel. Was fascinating to learn about another country like that.

      • British people are very good at talking about the weather, probably because it’s so unpredictable, it is a constant problem! One thing that we’ve really appreciated since we arrived here is consistent weather…it may be hot but at least you know what to expect and how to dress everyday!

  1. Welcome to the valley of the sun! I’ve been living in Arizona for 20+ years. The most important thing to learn about Arizona… stay hydrated! =] I’m excited to read your posts and perspectives on my home town! Let me know if you need anything.

  2. Make sure you take a trip one day up through Oak Creek Canyon and into Sedona — beautiful! Ah, seeing photos of AZ brings back sweet childhood memories for me! 🙂 Thanks for providing me a nostalgic moment today.
